Visa Requirements


::    Passport valid for six months on exit 

::    Two blank visa pages in passport

::    Two passport photographs

Photos must be 50mm x 50mm (2 x 2 inches) in size, and taken within the last 6 months.

::    Completed application form

::    Copy of passport information page

::    Business introduction letter

The letter of introduction from your UK employer must be an original, signed document on company letterhead, to include the official company stamp or seal. It should note in detail the purpose of your trip, include contact information for the organisation(s) to be visited, and accept moral and financial responsibility for your trip.

::    Letter of invitation

The letter of invitation must be an original, signed document, written on company letterhead, from a business or organisation in Thailand. It must include full contact details for the inviting party (including address), note the duration and purpose of stay, and confirm source of financial responsibility for your trip. The company must have registered capital (fully paid) at least 2 million baht, with registration document as proof.

::    Proof of funds

Please submit a bank statement from a UK bank, to show deposits of at least 500,000 baht (approx. £12,800) for the past 6 months.

::    Certificate of entry

In order to obtain this, you must complete a separate declaration form, and provide a copy of a health insurance policy which covers Covid-19 related medical expenses in Thailand, no less than 100,000 USD for the whole period of stay.




All travellers will be subject to a 14-day quarantine at their own expense at a facility approved by the Thai authorities for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ).

Upon arrival, you will need to provide the following:

– Certificate of Entry
– Signed and completed Declaration Form
– Covid-19 test result, made by the RT-PCR method, with a laboratory output indicating that Covid-19 is not detected, and issued within 72 hours before departure.
– Fit to Fly health certificate, issued within 72 hours before departure. This is a statement by a doctor that you are free from symptoms and fit to fly, and is separate from the Covid test.
– Copy of your health insurance policy OR a note verbale certifying that the embassy/organisation will cover all medical expenses, including those relating to Covid-19.
– Copy of your confirmed booking at an ASQ hotel.



Additional Information

Visas are valid from the date of issue. The holder will initially be granted a 90-day period of stay, unless otherwise instructed by the Office of Immigration.

Travellers are advised to apply for their visa no earlier than three months before the planned date of departure.

The embassy reserves the right to request additional documents in support of your visa application, and to alter or increase fees without prior notice.

No refund will be given if your visa is cancelled or rejected by the embassy.
