:: Business introduction letter
The letter of introduction from your UK employer must be an original, signed document on company letterhead. It should note duration and purpose of travel, provide details of companies or organisations to be visited in Tajikistan, and accept moral and financial responsibility for your trip.
:: Letter of invitation
The letter of invitation must come from a business or organisation in Tajikistan. It should be on official letterhead, signed by a company officer with contact details included. The letter should include your name, the purpose of your visit, and confirm source of financial responsibility.
:: Medical certificate, if applicable
If you plan to stay in Tajikistan for more than three months, please provide a medical certificate to confirm you are not infected with HIV/AIDS.
:: GBAO permit request, if applicable
GBAO (Kuhistoni Badakhshon Autonomous Province of Tajikistan) is the frontier territory of Tajikistan. If you wish to visit this region, you will require special permission stamped in your passport. Please note your intention clearly under ‘purpose of visit’ (section 21 of the application form), and submit a letter formally requesting a permit to enter the area.
PLEASE NOTE
You may be able to obtain a visa on arrival at Dushanbe International Airport. However, a fee will still be charged and there is no guarantee of entry. We therefore strongly advise applicants to obtain a visa before travelling.
The Tajik immigration service also offers a single entry e-Visa, valid for a maximum permitted stay of 45 days. Please contact us for further information, or if you would like us to make an eVisa application on your behalf.
Additional Information
When applying for the express service in particular, please bear in mind the embassy only accepts visa applications on Mondays and Thursdays.
The embassy reserves the right to request additional documents in support of your visa application, and to alter or increase fees without prior notice.
No refund will be given if your visa is cancelled or rejected by the embassy.
Visa and Service Fees
Please note, all fees are charged per individual traveller. Service and processing fees are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the point of invoice. The total price of your order will depend on the product and the processing service you select. Visa fees are subject to change with no prior notice.
