The letter of introduction from your UK employer must be an original, signed document on company letterhead. It should note your position within the company, duration and purpose of travel, provide details of the organisation(s) to be visited in Sri Lanka, and accept moral and financial responsibility for your trip.
Please ensure the letter also clearly notes dates of travel for your trip(s), and that these match the dates on your application form.
:: Letter of invitation
The letter of invitation must come from a business or organisation in Sri Lanka. It should be on official letterhead, signed by a company officer with contact details included. The letter should include your name, the purpose of your visit, and confirm source of financial responsibility.
As above, please ensure the letter also clearly notes dates of travel, to match those on your application form.
:: Proof of funds
Please submit proof of funds (e.g. traveller’s cheques or bank statements) equivalent to US$30 per day of stay in Sri Lanka.
:: Photocopies of original documents
All original documents, including passport, must be submitted along with a clear, colour photocopy.
For a single visit of up to 30 days, you may be able to obtain an eVisa (ETA) instead. Please contact us for further information.
