The letter of introduction from your UK employer must be an original document on company letterhead, addressed to the Embassy of Sierra Leone, Visa Section, London. It should note duration and purpose of travel, nature of business to be conducted, and provide details of all organisations to be visited in Sierra Leone. The letter must be signed by an officer of the company, and should include a guarantee of financial responsibility (including the provision of transportation) for the applicant’s trip.
:: Letter of invitation
The letter of invitation must come from a business or organisation in Sierra Leone. It should be on official letterhead, signed by a company officer with contact details included. The letter should include your name, the duration and purpose of your visit, and confirm source of financial responsibility.
Travellers who plan to invest in the country but have no existing business contacts there may alternatively submit evidence of their credibility and financial status, plus a confirmed hotel booking to cover the full duration of stay.
