:: Passport valid for six months on exit
:: Two blank visa pages in passport
:: Copy of passport information page
:: Two recent passport photographs
If you plan to stay in Pakistan for more than three months, please submit five passport photos, rather than the standard two.
:: Completed and signed application form
:: Completed and signed visa checklist form
:: Proof of residence
Non-UK passport holders must submit an original, valid UK residence card/permit, or have proof of residence in their passport.
EU nationals should instead provide a recent utility bill, which clearly displays their name and current UK address.
:: Employer’s letter
The letter from your UK employer (or college/university, if you are a student) must be an original document on company letterhead, signed by your manager or human resources department. It must include your name, confirmation of your employment (or student) status, purpose of visit to Pakistan and expected date of return to work/study.
If you are retired or unemployed, please submit a letter confirming this, along with proof of pension or benefits.
:: Proof of travel arrangements
This must include a copy of your flight booking confirmation and hotel booking confirmation, plus a detailed itinerary or schedule confirming your exact location(s) for each day of the trip. The itinerary can either be provided by your travel agent/tour operator, or submitted as a personal statement.
Your tour operator must also supply a copy of their company registration document from the Government of Pakistan.
:: Proof of address
Please provide either a utility bill (gas, water, electricity), council tax bill, rental agreement or your UK driving license as proof of your current UK address. Whichever document you chose must be no more than three months old, and should be submitted in the original.
:: Proof of financial means
This should be provided as a copy of your most recent monthly bank statement.
:: Trekking permit, if applicable
Travellers planning to go on a trekking expedition must submit a good-quality photocopy of an official trekking permit from the Gilgit-Baltistan Council in Pakistan.
:: Document copies
Please provide a good quality colour photocopy of all original documents submitted. If you plan to stay in Pakistan for more than three months, you must submit four photocopies of each document, rather than just one.
