:: Passport valid for six months on exit
:: Two adjacent (facing) blank pages in passport
:: Two recent identical passport photographs
Please write your full name on the reverse of both photographs.
:: Application form, completed online and printed
All Nigerian visa applications must be completed online, and the consular fee paid via the same online service.
Follow the Application Form link (below right) to the Nigerian Immigration Service website. Select United Kingdom from the ‘processing country’ dropdown box, then click the ‘start application’ button at the bottom of the page. When you’ve completed the form, print it out, sign and send to us, along with the Visa Acknowledgment Slip and Visa Payment Slip. (Please ignore the interview date printed on the Payment Slip; we will book an appointment to submit the application and attend on your behalf.)
If you require further assistance, or would prefer that we handle the online payment on your behalf, we offer a comprehensive form-completion service for Nigerian visas. In order to take advantage of this, select ‘standard + form fill’ from the Handling Service dropdown, or contact us for more information.
Please note, the Immigration Service requires that the first and last names on the credit card used to make your online payment MUST match the first and last names in your passport. If this is likely to be a problem, please contact us before starting your application.

:: Completed travel questionnaire
Applicants must complete and submit a questionnaire regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19).

It should state the purpose of your visit to Nigeria and include a detailed itinerary for the planned duration of stay.
:: Letter of invitation
The person you are visiting in Nigeria must provide a formal letter of invitation, to include full address and contact details of the place at which you will be staying. The letter must be typed and should clearly state that the inviting party accepts full immigration responsibility for the applicant. Please submit the original letter, rather than a copy.
:: Copy of inviting party’s passport
Your host in Nigeria must provide a copy of their current, valid passport, showing the information page, including their signature. If they are not a Nigerian national, you must also include a copy of their Nigerian residence permit, valid for a minimum of six months.

This must be no more than three months old, and should clearly show your name and address, plus a credit balance of at least £500 (not including any overdraft facility).
:: Proof of travel
Please provide a copy of a paid flight ticket, to clearly show the dates on which you will enter and leave Nigeria.
:: Proof of residence
Non-UK passport holders must submit a residence card OR have visa residency stamped inside their passport. This must be valid for at least six months at the time of application. Please provide both the original and a good quality photocopy.
EU nationals must provide two recent utility bills OR a signed tenancy agreement instead. The bills must be for different utilities and should be no more than three months old. Mobile phone bills and bank statements are not acceptable. Please provide both the original(s) and a good quality photocopy.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants are required to provide biometric information in person at the Nigerian visa processing centre in London on the day of application. There are still a number of ways in which we can assist, including form filling, application checking, visa collection/return and accompanying you to the processing centre. Please contact us for further information.
