Business Visa  |  Ireland

Visa Requirements

::    Passport valid for six months on exit

If you hold, or have held, other passports, you must also submit these with your application. If you are unable to do so, please include a written explanation, along with any relevant police reports.

::    Two blank visa pages in passport

::    Photocopy of passport pages

Please provide a clear, colour photocopy of the information page and all immigration visas/stamps in your passport.

::    Two recent passport photographs

::    Proof of residence

Non-UK passport holders must submit an original UK residence card/permit (stamp, sticker or BRP card), valid for at least three months after your intended date of departure from Ireland.

Please also provide a clear, colour photocopy of the same, making sure to copy the front and back of the BRP card, where applicable.

::    Completed and signed application form

The application form for Ireland must be completed online. Please ensure all questions are answered in full, and all names and details exactly match those in your passport. Once you have completed the online form, print it out, then sign and submit to us along with the other application requirements. Please do not process any payment; we will handle this on your behalf.

::    Business support letter

The letter of support from your UK employer must be an original, signed document on company letterhead, to include contact and registration details. It should note duration and purpose of travel, frequency of trips if applying for multiple entries and note who is responsible for the costs of the trip(s), including travel and accommodation. Please ensure the letter is no more than four weeks old.

If you work for a company which also has offices in Ireland, the letter of support must be submitted on headed paper with the UK contact and registration details.

::    Letter of invitation

The letter of invitation must come from a business or organisation in Ireland. It should be on official letterhead, signed by a company officer with contact and registration details included. It should note duration and purpose of travel, frequency of trips if applying for multiple entries and note who is responsible for the costs of the trip(s), including travel and accommodation. Please ensure the letter is no more than four weeks old.

If you are travelling to visit the Irish offices of your UK employer, the letter of support must be submitted on headed paper with the Irish contact and registration details.

::    Previous visa information, if applicable

Please submit details of any previous Irish visa applications you’ve made, including any which were refused, and also details of any refused visa applications for other countries. Failure to disclose this information will result in your current Irish visa application being refused. Applicants should provide a photocopy of any original documents related to previous visa refusal(s).

::    Proof of funds, if applicable

If your visit to Ireland is self-funded, you must submit a letter explaining why you, rather than your employer or the host company in Ireland, are personally responsible for costs.

You must also provide bank statements covering the three months leading up to your application, to show all transactions, including your salary or other form of regular income. The statements should show your current address, and must either be original or print-outs which have been stamped by a branch of your bank. They should show availability of sufficient funds to cover the costs of your trip; any lump sum payment made in advance of your application will not be considered. Please provide photocopies of any original documents you wish to have returned.
