:: Three blank visa pages in passport
:: Two recent passport photographs
:: Completed application form
:: Photocopy of visa from last destination visited
:: Yellow fever vaccination certificate
:: Completed travel questionnaire
Applicants must complete and submit a questionnaire regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The letter of introduction from your UK employer must be an original, signed document on company letterhead. It should note your name and the date you started working for the company, plus duration and purpose of travel. It must also include details of organisations to be visited in Congo, and accept moral and financial responsibility for your trip.
:: Letter of invitation
The letter of invitation must come from a business or organisation in Congo and should be written in French. It must be on official letterhead, signed by a company officer with contact details included. The letter should introduce you as the applicant, note the duration and purpose of visit, and provide a guarantee for your trip, as required by the Immigration Office.
The invitation letter must be certified by the Immigration Office or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DGM) in Kinshasa.
:: Proof of travel
Please provide a copy of your flight booking confirmation, ensuring it clearly displays dates of entry and departure from Congo.
:: Proof of accommodation
If staying in a hotel, the booking confirmation must be made in your name and paid in full. The confirmation should include contact details, including telephone number, for the hotel, and must cover the full duration of stay. Alternatively, you may provide a lease or legalised certificate from a rental agency if staying in private, rented accommodation.
:: Proof of UK address
This should either be a utility bill which clearly displays your name and UK address, OR a current-account bank statement, no more than three months old.
Additional Information
Visa Base lodges applications at the Congolese embassy on a Thursday. Your visa will be issued once the embassy receives authorisation from Kinshasa, which takes a minimum of 15 working days. Travellers are advised to factor in both of these timing issues when submitting an application. Please contact us if you need further advice or information.
Visas are valid from the date of issue, not the date of travel.
The embassy reserves the right to request additional documents in support of your visa application, and to alter or increase fees without prior notice.
No refund will be given if your visa is cancelled or rejected by the embassy.
Visa and Service Fees
Please note, all fees are charged per individual traveller. Service and processing fees are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the point of invoice. The total price of your order will depend on the product and the processing service you select. Visa fees are subject to change with no prior notice. Please contact us before placing your order if you require further information.
