Tourist Visa  |  Belarus

Visa Requirements

::    Passport valid for 90 days on exit

::    Two blank visa pages in passport

::    One recent passport photograph

The photograph must be no more than six months old.

::    Completed and signed application form

The application form should be filled out in English or Russian/Belarusian, using type or clearly legible handwriting in block capital letters. Please answer all questions and ensure you specify the purpose of your trip in detail. If a question does not apply to you, write ‘N/A’ as the answer. Incomplete forms will automatically be rejected by the embassy.

If the visa application is for a minor, the form must be signed by their legal representative.

::    Proof of residence

Non-UK passport holders must submit an original, valid UK residence card/permit, or have proof of residence in their passport.

::    Proof of travel arrangements

This must include a copy of your tourist voucher, and should be accompanied by a covering letter from a registered Belarussian travel agency. If you are unable to provide a covering letter, the original voucher must be submitted instead. Please note, hotel vouchers are not acceptable.

::    Travel insurance

Please submit a copy of your health insurance certificate OR, where applicable, a letter from your company clearly stating you are covered by their insurance policy. This must include your name, the name and telephone number of the insurance company, and confirmation that the policy covers Belarus (written either as ‘Belarus’, ‘Europe including Belarus’ or ‘worldwide’). The policy must be valid for the full duration of stay with a minimum limit of responsibility for medical services set at 10,000 euro.

::    Birth certificate, if applicable

Applicants under 18 years must provide a copy of their full birth certificate, plus copies of both parents’ passports.

Depending on your nationality, you may be eligible to visit Belarus for a stay of up to 5 days (4 nights) without a visa. In order to take advantage of visa exemption, you must travel via Minsk National Airport, and carry a valid passport, proof of financial means (equivalent to at least £20 per day of stay) and medical insurance valid in Belarus with cover of least €10,000.
